Critical — two distinct platforms with different safety ratings:
China-built Navara Pro / Frontier Pro (LHD export): Developed to C-NCAP 5-star standards; top trims include 6 airbags, AEB, lane keep assist. No independent ANCAP, Euro NCAP, or NHTSA ratings have been published for this platform as of October 2026. The Middle East-bound Navara Pro is described as “extensively validated for the region’s climate and terrain” but has not undergone independent crash testing.
Mitsubishi Triton-based RHD Navara (Australia/NZ): Achieved 5-star ANCAP (2024 test year, expires Dec 2031). This is a completely different vehicle from the China-built LHD export model and is not related to the Frontier Pro/Navara Pro platform.
Fleet buyers targeting ANCAP or Euro NCAP-compliant markets must verify which platform their procurement specification covers. The China-built LHD export version does not carry an ANCAP rating.
